Our Mission

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-
1) To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
2.) To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
3.) To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
4.) To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indian ness” among children.

Notice
As per KVS letter no F.11029/27/2011/KVS(HQ)(Acad) date 03.07.2012, It was informed that the old New Uniforms May Continue to be used simulataneously during the transition period for classes II to XI. The old ones may be weaned out of use gradually over a period of 2 years i.e. by July 2014. The parents of class I students are instructed to get the uniform stitched for their wards as per the new uniform design. Students of class XII shall continue with the existing uniform if they so desire as they will be passing out at the end of this academic year.

For long, these potentials have not been tapped from our marginalized students. They have been deprived of quality education and tools to live a better human life. As educators, we must let these students know that they have better tomorrow, through our commitment to them, passion for our profession and a vision that makes things happen. Let the education we impart, equip them for a better tomorrow and make ‘India Shining’ a reality in their lives.
Every year our schools detain students whom we perceive are not ready to start the next academic. It feels great to be a part of www, when the school launches its own website. Creating a space for our students in the world of internet is of utmost priority in learning and enriching programmes. This website will be a resource for the school and its students to access preserve, update information in several fields and above all use them for facilitating everyday educational processes and achieving the desired goals.
None the less others too will have access to us and our resources. Above all, through this window our students will remain connected to the other students round the globe communicating, disseminating.

The admissions are no longer restricted to Central Govt. Employees only. They are open for all. However, certain procedures have been laid down to decide the priority categories of children for admissions. 15%, 7.5% and 3% of seats are reserved for SC, ST and Physically handicapped categories of children respectively.
A day at the school begins with the Morning Assembly where 800 students stand as one in offering obeisance to the Almighty. Students undergo training in various fields. Every Saturday students of the primary section are given an opportunity to compete in inter- house competitions like Group Dance, Group Song, Poetry recitation, Clay Modeling, Display board, Fancy Dress. For the comprehensive development of the child's personality, the Vidyalaya focuses on all fundamental aspects of the child's personality - Physical, Mental, Emotional and Cultural.
KV Barauni is a 02 section co-education school from class I to X and 01 section from class XI and XII. It is one of the institutions in the city to offer the stream – Science and Commerce. The medium of instruction at present is bi lingual. Mathematics and Science subjects are taught and through the medium of English, Social Science is taught through the medium of Hindi as well as English. The School is affiliated to CBSE and follows the CBSE syllabus. In the Primary Section education in imparted through group activities and play way methods. Technically aided Education in the School's Resource Room is a daily routine. The Room is well equipped with overhead Projector, a Computer Set, Auto Slide Projector and LCD Projector. The school has two Computer labs with 36 computers. The School's Library houses a rich collection of nearly 1884 books. Latest Periodicals related to the almost every project taught in the school are available in the library. The School building is well built with spacious class rooms, three fully equipped Science labs viz. Physics, Chemistry and Biology, a Junior Science lab, two Computer Labs, Drawing, Music, Geography, Games, Sports and Work experience (SUPW) rooms.
